PV*SOL premium 2019 Release 5 (December 13th, 2018)

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • After a database update was performed program crashes could occur.
  • Saving project files in the 3D visualization cleared all inverter-related cable settings.
  • No simulation if the maximum payout period for tariffs was 99 years.
  • When selecting an inverter with 6 MPP trackers (e.g. Huawei SUN2000-60KTL-M0) no configuration could be found.

PV*SOL premium 2019 Release 4 (December 5th, 2018)

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • On the page Financial Analysis, no date could be defined for the validity of the feed-in tariffs.
  • When loading a project file that was created with a previous version (e.g. PV*SOL premium 2018), the fee from the own consumption rate became a remuneration.
  • Partial crashes on the page Cable when using US regional settings.
  • Crash when calculating the optimal inclination angle.
  • Crash when determining the number of PV modules from consumption.
  • MeteoSyn: Crash when no comma (,) or semicolon (;) was used in the longitude and latitude search.
  • Crash when deleting a configuration in the 3D visualization and saving the project in 3D only.
  • Crash when assigning DC battery systems to module strings/surfaces when a polystring configuration was made.
  • Error when configuring with performance optimizers.
  • When copying module areas, no cables were copied if no suitable inverter was found.
  • Cable losses were not displayed, were always 0 % (0 W).
  • Translation corrections.

Further changes:

  • New database.
  • Before a database is updated, a backup copy of the existing database will be created. If the database is corrupt, the backup will be restored.

PV*SOL premium 2019 Release 3 (November 16th, 2018)

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • Crash when creating the project report when the used logo is read-only.
  • Circuit diagram cannot be generated when using a battery storage system with DC generator coupling and 3D planning is used.
  • Error when saving 3D projects without shading calculation.
  • Error when saving 3D projects without configuration.
  • Crash when editing the safety devices in the circuit diagram.
  • Crash when loading non-synchronous inverter and cable models.
  • Crash when converting from 3D to 2D when power optimizers were missing.
  • Errors when compiling results for 3D projects without shading calculation.
  • Missing line break in customer presentation at customer address/address of installation.
  • Missing line break in customer presentation in the project description.
  • Missing translation in energy balance.
  • Incorrect order, navigation arrows lead first to battery system, then to electric vehicles.
  • In the cash flow table, the start of operation date in the month is now also taken into account for the electricity savings.

PV*SOL premium 2019 Release 2 (November 6th, 2018)

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • Crash when loading projects, if the user has defined a comma as decimal separator and a space as thousands separator in the Windows control panel.

PV*SOL premium 2019 Release 1 (November 6th, 2018)

The following new features and changes are included:

  • Revised wiring diagram:
    • Safety devices can be added manually.
    • Export as SVG for easy vector-based editing, e.g. in Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Selection of different electric vehicles within a project:
    • Several electric vehicles can be created and configured separately.
    • Times at the charging station can be defined differently for each vehicle type (group) for each day of the week.
  • Simulation of bifacial modules for mounted PV systems:
    • Consideration of backside radiation.
    • If planning with 3D visualization and graphic coverage (2D) the needed data will be adopted automatically.
    • Output of the radiation gains in the energy balance.
  • Revised project report:
    • Two variants/templates selectable (customer presentation, documentation).
    • More flexibility in selecting the information displayed.
    • New Word and PDF export.
  • Maximum number of modules in 3D increased:
    • Depending on shading, it is now possible to simulate up to 7.500 mounted modules or up to 10.000 roof-parallel modules in 3D.
  • New Help:
    • The help pages are available online (Internet connection required).
    • Videos and tutorials are available within the online help.
  • Output of the MPP voltages in the diagram editor.
  • PV*SOL can be started either with the last system type used or with a system type defined as default.
  • In MeteoSyn, the map provider selection is now also available in the window for creating new climate data records.
  • The default settings for the limits of the dimensioning factor have been updated to 90/100/120/140 %.
  • Updated example projects.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 10 (September 10th, 2018)

The following new features and changes are included:

  • 3D models
    • Speeding up the shadow simulation and shadow frequency calculation by customizing and extending the performance kit for 3D models.
    • When importing 3D models, it is now checked that the maximum permissible number of 500,000 vertices is not exceeded.
    • If the total number of vertices exceeds 200,000, a message appears informing you that the time required for the shadowing simulation may increase.
  • Therefore, in the configuration settings (PVSOL.ini) behind <ShadowOff>-1</ShadowOff> the line < MainPagerWider>-1</ MainPagerWider> must be added.
  • Check during the saving process whether the necessary 3D-XML files have been saved correctly and whether the 3DVisu folder exists.
  • It is now prevented that programs like CCleaner or other hard disk optimization mechanisms delete files of the project.
  • For larger projects, close to the maximum limit of PV modules, a calculation of the predicted RAM is now carried out and if necessary a message appears that the shadowing simulation could fail and it is recommended to save the project beforehand.
  • Optimization of memory management during module interconnection in 3D.
  • Easier string allocation by enlarging the combo box of the module surface in the manual configuration.
  • The SolarEdge inverters with HD-Wave technology are now designed for 155%.

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • Problems with automatic configuration when the Huawei SUN2000-60KTL inverter was selected.
  • In some cases, an incorrect number of power optimizers used was listed in the project report.
  • Error in travel cost calculation when selecting Net Metering as feed-in concept.
  • 3D: Exceeding the available RAM during the shadowing simulation even with a small number of modules if complex 3D models were used.
  • 3D: In the case of large PV systems, the calculation of the automatic inverter configuration often blocked working memory and did not release it again.
  • 3D: For extruded, copied buildings, an adjustment to the texture of the copy also resulted in a change to the texture of the original.
  • 3D: Loss of textures that caused a crash when reloading the 3D project.
  • 3D: In the cable plan, the number of cables at the output of the node strand system and generator connection box was displayed incorrectly.
  • 3D: Truncated texts in the additional parameters window for the assembly system for Portuguese language selection.
  • 3D: Crash if a normally inactive button was clicked during the backup copy.
  • 3D: Crash when reloading projects with imported 3D models and automatically generated module areas due to missing assignment of superstructures.
  • 3D: Crash when returning to PV*SOL, if something was copied in the process of the program.
  • 3D: Crash when in "Edit module allocation" mode, Ctrl-S was used or the automatic backup was active, as long as the configuration was not complete.
  • 3D: Crash when combining pressed left mouse button with other mouse buttons and using the selection frame.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 9 (July 12th, 2018)

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • MeteoSyn: When creating a climate data set with own measured values, no temperatures could be entered with commas as decimal.
  • Presentation report: Sometimes there were only empty pages.
  • Presentation: Self-made screenshots from 3D were partly not shown.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 8 (July 05th, 2018)

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • MeteoSyn: The Meteonorm climate data now have the averaging period 1991-2010 again.
  • Error in the economic efficiency calculation of off-grid systems if tariffs created by third parties are not available in the database.
  • Crash when loading non-existent demand tariffs created by third parties.
  • The simulation of an off-grid system is now also possible if the battery system's power is less than half the PV power.
  • Offgrid: Logging of cluster load strategies fixed.
  • Crash in the electric vehicle database when displaying info after the manufacturer selection.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 7 (June 27th, 2018)

The following new features and changes are included:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
    • When sending error reports, all personal data are removed from the projects sent.
    • Links to Valentin Software's privacy policy.
  • Increasing of the maximum mains voltage to 100 kV.
  • MeteoSyn: Imported climate data records are marked with "Source: Import".
  • To prevent corrupt projects different warning messages and protections have been introduced, e.g. warning messages if data is missing when saving the project file.
  • 3D: When working with imported 3D models, there is now a list of the created coverable areas in the drop-down menu for the coverable objects. This makes it easier to select the coverable areas.

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • Display errors when using 4K monitors, Windows text scaling, etc.
  • MeteoSyn:
    • Correction of some climate data. Affected climate data of the versions PV*SOL premium 2018 R5 and R6 may be removed and must then be selected again by the user. This is pointed out accordingly.
    • Climate data records already available in the database are no longer additionally imported from projects.
  • Bug when opening the electric vehicle and optimizer database dialogs.
  • Crash during the simulation of 3D projects when non-continuous groups of identical inverters with identical configurations were present.
  • If the nominal DC voltage of the inverter was not within its MPP tracking range, then no automatic configuration suggestion could be found.
  • Battery charging strategies: The maximum value of the equalization charge is equal to the final value of the full charge.
  • Peak power of the consumption in off-grid systems: The minimum value is equal to the value determined from the load profile.
  • 3D: Crashes when opening the 3D visualization if textures were missing. The missing textures in the project file are now automatically replaced with a standard texture. This makes it possible to find and replace the missing texture.
  • 3D: Automatic determination of the coverable areas of the imported 3D models crashed sporadically.
  • 3D: Partial crashes on "Project New".

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 6 (May 07th, 2018)

The following new features and changes are included:

  • 3D: Module spacing now by default at 2 cm. Manually changed values are saved as default.
  • When planning with an electric vehicle, it is now possible to select the times at the charging station as a multi-selection using the Enter key.
  • The circuit diagram now shows the number of battery systems and electric vehicles.
  • Polish net metering tariffs.

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • Crashes when path names were too long.
  • In some cases, tariffs contained a very high number of power or energy classes.
  • Partial crashes when opening project files with several module surfaces which also contain saved diffuse radiation results.
  • Crash when opening off-grid projects with a defined number of batteries of zero.
  • If no default printer was installed, no project report could be generated.
  • Partially too high irradiation values for self-created climate data records.
  • Several bugs in MeteoSyn.
  • Simulation button on the presentation page did not work for 3D projects without shading.
  • Battery systems with DC generator coupling may have been drawn on the wrong MPP in the circuit diagram.
  • In the circuit diagram, the symbols and the legend were partially superimposed.
  • A wrong symbol for DC-coupled battery systems has been used in the circuit diagram.
  • Missing translations.
  • 3D: In the calculation of diffuse shading, some outliers occurred when shading objects were far away but in alignment with a PV module.
  • 3D: When planning with an image file as a map section, the defined orientation was not adopted. The open areas with the map section were always facing south.
  • 3D: Crash if zero inclination was entered in the building dialog.
  • 3D: Sometimes the copy dialog was not closed correctly. The program crashed when switching to other tabs or activating 3D objects.
  • 3D: While the copy dialog of module rows was open, rows could be marked and deleted. This resulted in a crash.
  • 3D: When the copy dialog was open, it was possible to return to PV*SOL via "Adopt data". This resulted in a crash.
  • 3D: When using polystring configuration, the assignments of the module areas to the screenshots were not correct if several sub strings were connected in series.
  • 3D: No hint message if a texture with more than 4048 pixels was used for a 3D model.
  • 3D: Partially no textures could be loaded during 3D import if a relative path to the texture file was stored.
  • 3D: When drawing in mounting surfaces, the pencil symbol disappeared if an error message was displayed while drawing.
  • 3D: Damaged project files if floors on which other 3D objects were already located were deleted.
  • 3D: The edge labels of extruded 3D objects were partially incorrect.
  • 3D: Error when creating a printout view in the cable plan if the strings went over several module formations.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 5 (March 23rd, 2018)

The following new features and changes are included:

  • MeteoSyn with Meteonorm 7.2.
  • Brazilian load profiles.
  • Logging of usage data (optional deactivable).
  • The software can now be deregistered twice a year by the user (e.g. when changing computers).
  • Warning about possible problems with antivirus programs.
  • Default times for battery-saving operation in off-grid systems have been changed.

The following bugs have been fixed:

  • Various bugs when using DC-coupled storage systems, which led to too small amounts of battery energy to cover consumption.
  • Sometimes the 3D planning was no longer available in re-opened projects.
  • Problems with automatic configuration of modules to the SMA Core 1 inverter fixed.
  • Crash when disabling polystring configurations.
  • Crash if, in a polystring configuration, strings of the same length of an inverter do not follow one another, e.g. 1x20, 1x19, 1x20.
  • Partial crashes in 3D projects without shading.
  • Crash with polystring configuration, if the strings were connected in series, but one string did not contain any modules.
  • Crash with empty MPP trackers and empty sub-strings when using polystring configuration.
  • Partial crashes if optimizers were not used for all modules.
  • Partial misallocation of module shading when using SolarEdge inverters in combination with polystring configuration and optimizers.
  • No output of MPP losses for systems with only partially used optimizers.
  • Sometimes the update info dialog disappeared in the background when starting PV*SOL and blocked the further start.
  • When opening project files, existing from-grid tariffs were loaded without HT/NT times.
  • The tariff zone or band setting was not displayed for existing tariffs.
  • Depending on the language setting, no *.png files could be loaded as project images.
  • Error in the calculation of cable losses.
  • Error in the circuit diagram if using empty MPP trackers.
  • Error in the presentation of the circuit diagram (overlapping views).
  • Error in off-grid simulation, battery overload did not lead to simulation termination.
  • Missing translation in the project report in Czech.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 4 (December 13th, 2017)

Following fixes have been made:

  • Monthly values were sometimes not displayed in the exported *.csv file.
  • Program crash when leaving the dialog when a new energy supplier was created.
  • When opening projects with from-grid tariffs that were not included in the database, they were entered incorrectly into the database.

Further changes:

  • If during the first installation, the virus scanner prevents copying of the sample projects, a message appears that PV*SOL has to be defined as an exception in the virus scanner. The program is then closed.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 3 (December 08th, 2017)

Following fixes have been made:

  • Crash when configuring inverters with unused MPP trackers in the 3D visualization.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 2 (December 07th, 2017)

Following fixes have been made:

  • 3D visualization:
    • Crash during calculation of the shade frequency distribution and the simulation of the shading ratios in the southern hemisphere.
    • The collision can now be deactivated for imported 3D models.
    • Crash when removing the last segment of a 3D polygon..
    • The orientation of the parabolic antenna remains unchanged after re-opening the 3D visualization.
    • Improved visualization of the 3D object parabolic antenna.
    • Parabolic antenna can now be copied without crashing.
  • MeteoSyn:
    • Crash during simulation with minute values if the ProgramData directory does not exist.
    • Corrupt database has been fixed.
  • Crash during simulation of 3D Offgrid systems without calculated shading ratios.
  • Crash when switching from a configuration with polystring to a configuration without polystring.
  • Sometimes the program crashed when changing the module area in the inverter configuration window.
  • Sometimes the program crashed when viewing the result graphics of 3D projects.
  • Incorrect assignment of module shading when using power optimizers in combination with polystring configuration.

PV*SOL premium 2018 Release 1 (November 29th, 2017)

The following new features are included:

  • Import of 3D data from various sources, e.g. city models, terrain models, drone flights, CAD programs. A large number of file formats can be read:
    • DirectX (*.x)
    • Wavefront Object (*.obj)
    • Collada (*.dae)
    • Blender 3D (*.blend)
    • 3ds Max 3DS (*.3ds)
    • 3ds Max ASE (*.ase)
    • LightWave (*.lwo)
    • Stanford Polygon Library (*.ply)
    • Stereolithography (*.stl)
    • Milkshape 3D (*.ms3d)
  • In the 3D planning there is a new string plan in the style of our dimensioning plan available.
  • Polystring configuration - Configuration of module surfaces/modules with different orientation or tilt to one MPP tracker, e.g. East-West roof modules to one MPP tracker.
  • Configuration with selection of power optimizers (SolarEdge, Tigo, Maxim) and inverters.
  • The U-I curve as well as the U-P curve will be shown for each simulation step.
  • Different diffuse radiation models can be selected for the simulation.
  • Improved performance, simulation up to 50% faster.
  • The number of used storage systems and electric vehicles can now be entered easily in the corresponding definition window.
  • New graphics for the energy flows.
  • Revised Autosave function:
    • Filenames are more unique, which helps to better identify the Autosave files and assign them to projects.
    • Autosave files of projects currently in progress, as well as autosave files of older crashed projects are displayed and managed.
    • If a project is closed normally, its autosave files will be deleted automatically. When crashed, the autosave files are kept for 14 days, but can also be deleted manually in the program.
  • Calculation of the parameters for the two-diode model has been revised.
  • Energy balance: Distribution of losses due to module-specific partial shading, low light behaviour and diodes has been improved.
  • Calculation of cable losses has been revised.
  • Calculation of rated currents for circuit breakers and RCDs has been revised.
  • Additional languages for project report: Chinese, Arabic and Albanian.
  • Offgrid systems can now also be planned with components from any manufacturers, not only SMA.

PV*SOL premium 2017 Release 9 (April 25th, 2017)

The following new features and changes have been made:

  • Czech as another language for the presentation report.
  • 3D: Increased maximum number of possible module row formations of 500.
  • Time shift of tariffs with different tariff times is only availible if using net metering tariffs.
  • When simulating with net metering, the inverter's own consumption is removed from the diagrams.
  • EnEV calculation is performed according to new regulation only with standard values of the peak power coefficient Kpk.

Following fixes have been made:

  • Problems with the registration of the program if maintenance has been ended for the serial number used.
  • The consumption of the electric vehicle was not shown in the diagrams if using net metering.
  • Error in the time shift of tariffs with different tariff times if using net metering.
  • 3D: When editing module configurations, a mouse click on another module surface caused a crash.
  • 3D: Error in the display of the modules if using empty MPPs and module surfaces.
  • 3D: Error when closing the options dialog.
  • 3D: Error when copying system inverters.
  • 3D: Copying inverter configurations caused an error when loading the cable plan.
  • 3D: Crash when editing module information via the tree view.
  • 3D: Error when deleting coverable objects when they were outside the terrain.

PV*SOL premium 2017 Release 8 (February 23rd, 2017)

Following fixes have been made:

  • After reloading a project file, the savings by own consumption were no longer considered.
  • No compensation for surplus when using net metering.
  • Errors in the input of an exponential module degradation of the first module area corrected. The first entry was reset to 1 year.
  • No presentation could be created if more than 5 module areas with defined horizon lines were planned.
  • When using a location above the polar circle, the presentation could not be generated because no horizon line could be created./li>
  • Partially, the PV-optimized charging of the electric vehicle was not correct. Occurred when the electric vehicle was only briefly at the loading station.
  • Occasional crash of license management fixed.
  • Partly, the program has fallen back into the test mode despite successful registration.
  • 3D: When copying system inverters, the assignments of the modules were partially incorrect.
  • 3D: Error in the displaying of the configuration when using inverters with an unused MPP tracker.
  • 3D: Problems with the mouse after moving the field of view with the right mouse button.
  • 3D: Calculation of the module row spacing for minimal shading was not possible, even if the roof surfaces had only slight inclinations to the east or west. It is now possible for inclinations up to 3°.
  • Brazilian tariffs corrected.
  • Mistakes in the Portuguese translation.

PV*SOL premium 2017 Release 7 (January 31st, 2017)

Following fix has been made:

  • Crash during program start, if the user has saved an individual project configuration as default.

PV*SOL premium 2017 Release 6 (January 31st, 2017)

The following new features are included:

  • Planning of systems with electric vehicles and battery storage systems is now possible.
  • New battery materials for lithium-ion batteries: Lithium titanate, LiNiCoO2, LiNiMgCoO2.
  • Output of the diffuse irradiation in the diagram editor.
  • Enhanced definition options for from-grid and net metering tariffs.
  • The net metering consumption can now be defined either by means of an annual value or the individual monthly values.
  • Database extended by additional heat pump load profiles.
  • Improved calculation of losses by module-specific partial shading and low-light behavior.
  • Output of the losses in the battery of the electric vehicle.
  • The saving path of the presentation report is now conform to the path for the project files by default.
  • 3D Visualization:
    • Improved rendering of shadows due to the introduction of volume shadows.
    • When zooming the screen view, the view is now enlarged or reduced to the point targeted by the mouse.
    • The screen view can now be moved with the right mouse button pressed.
    • Navigation panel to pan and tilt the screen view and displaying of the building orientation.
    • Selected module rows can now be arranged automatically right-aligned to the edge of the module area.
    • Rafters can now be copied.
    • Selection of a reference edge for extruded pitched roofs.
    • Polygon segments can now also be deleted.
    • For extruded arbitrary open area, the longest edge is no longer defined as the reference edge.

Following fixes have been made:

  • Limitations of the inputs in the economy of off-grid systems removed.
  • In the economics of off-grid systems, entries with a cost of more than 100 are now possible.
  • In the graphics PV energy during the observation period, the degradation is now considered monthly.
  • Partial errors in MPP tracking.
  • Partial errors when allocate the shading of identical module configurations.
  • A new entry has been created in the "Electric vehicle" database despite "Cancel".
  • Net metering error: Surplus remuneration when start of operation date is not at the beginning of the year.
  • 3D-Visualisierung:
    • Modules could not be separated or integrated in/from a configured system.
    • In the case of facade systems the string sorting was wrong.
    • The fixation could be released when the fixed polygon edge was moved back and forth.
    • Crash in the dimensioning plan of roofs with slightly tilted ridge
    • Error when placing module rows with mouse frame.
    • When extruding buildings with ridge, polygons were not recognized when they crossed the outer 3D polygons.
    • If another 3D polygon crossed the selected 3D polygon, it was incorrectly recognized as ridge, although it had more than 3 points.
    • Partially, arbitrary open surfaces with small angles were not extruded correctly.
    • Fireproof walls / rotating walls were not rotated with the polygon during extrusion.
    • The restricted distances of the parabolic antenna has not been taken into account.
    • In the case of module areas which were shaped approximately like a triangle (for example, gables), it could crash after extrusion during the automatic module coverage.
    • Partially the shadow on the module rows was not displayed correctly.
    • Crash when the texture of an arbitrary open surface has been changed.

PV*SOL premium 2017 Release 5 (December 07th, 2016)

Following fixes have been made:

  • 3D: 3D planning could not be opened if the dimensions of a default texture in the program, e.g. roof tiles, were changed and afterwards the roof was covered with modules.
  • 3D: Partially the 3D-planning could not be opened if self-created textures were used.
  • Crash in the diagram editor if a simulation in minute steps has been performed and energy from grid, consumption or grid feedi-in has been selected.
  • Crash if the runtime of the degradation was defined much smaller than the assesment period in the economic efficiency calculation.
  • Registration of the program is now also available in Portuguese.

PV*SOL premium 2017 Release 4 (November 17th, 2016)

Following fix has been made:

  • Crash during program start, if the user has saved an individual project configuration as default.

PV*SOL premium 2017 Release 3 (November 16th, 2016)

Following new features are included:

  • 3D: Polygons can now also be extruded even if they are overlapping.
  • 3D: Improved display of edge lengths when using the polygon tool.
  • 3D: Minimum thickness of rafter has been changed. Now it is also possible to enter thicknesses smaller than 10 cm.
  • 3D: Multipy of not configures module and module row formations is now possible.

Following fixes have been made:

  • In some case the simulation was impossible. Instead, the error message "System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly System.Net.Http" appeared.
  • After reloading projects with own consumption, the savings were always 0.
  • Load profiles with consumptions higher than 1 million kWh can be imported / entered again.
  • Partially, PV*SOL premium 2017 was not running due to a virus scanner.
  • Partially, when planning projects with electric vehicles the self-consumption were higher than the defined requirements.
  • Error when car battery was very heavily charged and discharged.
  • In some cases, the first graphic "Production forecast" was misrepresented.
  • Legend of the result graphic "Coverage of consumption" was wrong.
  • For graphics with two Y axes, sometimes the axes were not scaled equal.
  • Crash when changing the program language after selecting SolarEdge Power Optimizer.
  • Crashes when the data of some battery systems were displayed.
  • Problems with the maintenance end after extending the software maintenance.
  • 3D: When deleting modules in the configuration, the tree view was not been updated. This led to program crashes.
  • 3D: Collision with attica is now working.
  • 3D: Rafters and roof battens were not copied correctly.
  • 3D: The tree view was not been updated after filling an area with modules or module rows.
  • 3D: When copying coverable objects with module formations, the maximum number of modules was exceeded.
  • 3D: Crash when activating coverable objects with too small dimensions.
  • 3D: Module row no longer jump left when moving.
  • 3D: Objects are now colliding with edge distances.

PV*SOL premium 2017 Release 2 (October 26th, 2016)

Following fixes have been made:

  • MeteoSyn: Self-created climate data records from older versions could not be loaded when using the drop-down menu. Instead, the first location of the list has been selected.
  • MeteoSyn: Partially, climate data records were loaded with wrong, very high irradiation values when selecting them from the drop-down menu.
  • 3D: Crashes when reading or creating a horizon line.
  • 3D: The window "Group module areas" was not displayed correctly when a user-defined text size was used in the display options of Windows.

PV*SOL premium 2016 Release 3 (March 9th, 2016)

PV*SOL premium 2016 Release 2 (December 10th, 2015)

Following fixes have been made:

  • The presentation was not displayed when in the configuration only the roof plan was selected for the plans section, but the graphic coverage option was not used in the planning.
  • The presentation was not displayed when in the configuration only the dimensioning plan was selected in the plans section, but no dimensioning plan was present in the project. Occurred when importing older projects.
  • Some logos were blurred in the presentation.
  • In the presentation, the maximum feed-in power clipping was displayed as a percentage value between 0 and 1 instead of between 0 and 100 %.
  • The tables on the results page now have a line break when needed.
  • Projects with no longer available products could not be loaded.
  • Crash when selecting no longer available products.
  • The displayed temperature in the system check was 273,15 K too low.
  • When selecting a larger text size in the Windows Control Panel (e.g. 125 %), some fields were not displayed. For example, the tilt angle could not be defined in the 2D planning.
  • The efficiency curve of the battery inverter was not saved when creating a new battery system.
  • When creating a new battery system, changes in the charging strategy of the battery inverter not immediately appear in the dialog window.
  • Sometimes the setting of the SOC in the charging strategy has not been considered in the simulation.
  • In the plant picture the pv system was partially obscured when objects were placed in front of the plant.
  • Crash when scrolling with the mouse. Occurred when 3D objects (such as open spaces) were added to the coverable objects, then activated and afterwards immediately deleted.
  • Module formations could not be sorted.
  • Module Configurations could not be sorted on the string level.
  • The starting point of the sorting of configured modules was not set correctly.
  • When multiplying objects with module rows in 3D, the module rows were displayed incorrect.
  • The joint move of multiple module row formations is now possible in 3D.
  • When using extruded objects of the type "any 3D objects" on a pitched roof or hang the base dimensions ere not calculated correctly.
  • The exchange of individual modules of a configuration was delayed.
  • Crash during automatic module row coverage when rows were separated and then moved.
  • If no connection to the server could be established during the registration the message for the manual registration did not appear.
  • If US units were selected no US units were shown in the presentation.
  • Crash on program start, when the initialization file could not be read correctly.

PV*SOL premium 2016 Release 1 (November 23rd, 2015)

The following features are included:

  • Economics: Net-Metering.
  • 1-axis und 2-axis tracking of PV systems in the 2D planning.

Following new features are included:

  • The yield reduction due to shadowing is now displayed on the results page and in the project report.
  • A new shading simulation is now performed only if a change of the shading parameters within the 3D visualization took place.
  • Improved sorting in the configuration of module rows. The specifications for the sorting of rows of modules can now be defined separately.
  • Easier selection of reference modules in the 3D visualization.

Following fixes have been made:

  • After importing a load profile the imported data record was not pre-selected.

PV*SOL premium 7.0 Release 2 (August 13th, 2014)

The following new features are included:

  • Loading of complete battery storage systems of known manufacturers.
  • Define and save your own complete battery storage system.
  • Existing inverter configurations in 3D can now be edited. The configuration has previously not to be deleted.
  • Quick selection of climate data records.

  • When a 3D object was rotated within the Edit menu, then the min/max values of the other fields were not updated. Thus they could not be edited without a collision occurred.
  • Problems when editing a building of the type "high-rise" in 3D.
  • Multiple copy: When copying a gable dormer on an opposite roof, it was not rotated.
  • Multiple copy: When an object was copied to a location where an object was already present, then it could still be dropped. The objects then were moved into each other.
  • In some cases old screenshots were not deleted and then appeared in a new project.

PV*SOL premium 7.0 Release 1 (June 4th, 2014)

Following features are included:
