Dynamisches Simulationsprogramm mit 3D-Visualisierung und detaillierter Verschattungsanalyse zur Berechnung von Photovoltaik-Anlagen mit Batteriesystemen

Detailed Design and Shade Analysis of Ground Mounted Systems now Possible with PV*SOL Expert 5.5

Ground Mounted System in 3D Mode
6. Februar 2012

PV*SOL® Expert, the dynamic simulation programme with 3D visualization and detailed shading analysis for PV systems from Berlin-based Valentin Software will be available in March in the version 5.5 with extended features for mounted PV systems in 3D mode.

With the new 3D object “open area”, ground mounted systems (with up to 2,000 modules) can be reproduced on a slope or level ground in PV*SOL® Expert’s 3D visualization. This means that, in addition to the differentiated shading analysis of mounted PV systems on buildings – which has already been possible since version 5.0 – the corresponding shading analysis can now be carried out for ground mounted systems.

An “open area” can, however, also be used to align a number of 3D objects together. For example, you can use an “open area” to position or adapt 3D objects such as trees, buildings, bay windows, walls that are fixed or can be rotated, round chimneys, all types of barred areas, as well as edge distances and inspection paths.

Furthermore, in 3D visualization the new version PV*SOL® Expert 5.5 offers the possibility of joint configuration of a number of PV areas as well as manual configuration (in addition to automatic configuration). A meandering course for the individual strings is possible.

US measurement units have also been introduced in the new version PV*SOL® Expert 5.5 – in Photo Plan, 2D roof design and 3D visualization.

All of the PV*SOL® programs include extensive module and inverter databases now containing over 10,000 modules and 2,100 inverters, which are continually updated and expanded by the automatic update function. The data is updated online by the module and inverter manufacturers. Valentin Software then checks the data and makes it regularly available to PV*SOL® users via the update function.

Users can select between five languages in the program: English, German, French, Italian and Spanish and the user manual is available in all five languages.

Free demo versions and detailed information on Valentin Software’s full range of software for photovoltaic, solar thermal and heat pump systems are available on Orders can be made via the website in our Online Shop, by e-mail: or by fax: +49 (0)30 588 439 11. Telephone enquiries can be taken by our team from 9:00 to 16:00: +49 (0)30 588 439 0.
